This Mexican proverb is simple, but beautiful.

It makes me think of the amazing magic that can come from challenging times.  In your life people may try to silence you, but it only makes you learn to speak louder. They may try to hold you back, but it will only make you stronger.  In the adversity, we blossom.  In the shrouds of darkness, we grow bigger and stronger. It is in the darkness that we  are able to pull the nutrients out of the situation and rise above the surface into the glowing sunshine.

Never forget that.
